Reclassification of switchboards: LSC
on the basis of continuity of service and ease of maintenance of the equipment (category LSC, service continuity loss - loss of continuity of operation)
The category is LSC1: When you need to disconnect also the other units of the Switchboard.
The category is LSC2: When there is continuity of service during maintenance. In particular:
LSC2B: when all other units (even the cables of the same unit) may remain in tension (old definition of "metal-clad)
LSC2A: when all other units can remain in power (but not the cables of the same unit) (old definition of "protected")
Note: The above definitions do not apply to Switchboards GIS (gas insulated system) because the compartments are not accessible.
